Opportunity:

Alameda County aimed to divert 75% of waste generated within its borders from landfill to higher uses.

Process:

Climate Positive staff targeted the industrial and commercial sectors. We conducted waste reduction assessments at businesses throughout the County. We identified reduction opportunities and identified new alternatives for waste management. Our staff also helped ensure successful implementation of recommendations through thorough follow up.

Results:

Climate Positive clients collectively reduced waste to landfill by 10,000 tons over the course of six years.
